Prices

All prices are strictly nett and subject to alteration without prior notice. Goods will be invoiced at the prices ruling at the time of dispatch. A basic carriage charge will be levied on orders of fewer than 5 standard keys. A higher carriage charge will apply for any delivery of master keys, locks, credit card sales and express deliveries.

Delivery

Delivery dates are given in good faith. Ammerhurst will strive to maintain any dates given but accepts no liability for failure to deliver goods within the time agreed. Upon delivery the purchaser shall examine the goods and thereafter be deemed to have accepted them for the purposes of the Sale of Goods Act 1979.

Returns

The very large range of keys that we supply with very few exceptions are cut individually to customer's requirements. We are therefore unable to accept the return for credit of keys that have been incorrectly ordered, or are surplus to customers' requirements. This also applies when ambiguous information is given at the time of ordering. At our sole discretion we may exchange stock keys returned with a stamped addressed envelope. Where confirmation orders are sent not suitably marked, duplicate orders must be paid for.
Goods not required by a customer may not be returned without our prior consent. Credit will only be given if returned goods are in a resaleable condition and will be subject to a handling charge of 25% plus any carriage cost incurred by Ammerhurst.

Cancellation

Orders accepted by Ammerhurst cannot be cancelled without written instruction and consent and then only on terms which will indemnify Ammerhurst against any loss incurred.

Risk

Goods supplied by Ammerhurst shall be at the purchaser's risk immediately on delivery to the purchaser or to any carrier.

Claims

Ammerhurst Ltd accepts no liability for shortages, damage to or non-delivery of any goods unless notified in writing within seven days of the purchaser receiving either the goods, a delivery note or an invoice, whichever is the earlier. If Ammerhurst agrees to pay compensation to the purchaser it is limited to the invoice price of the goods. Ammerhurst shall not in any circumstances be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising for any reason whatsoever.

Payment

Unless otherwise specified all accounts are payable within 30 days of invoice date. Interest will be payable to Ammerhurst at the rate of 2% per month upon the balance of accounts remaining unpaid beyond the prescribed due date. Any costs incurred in the collection of overdue accounts will be passed on to the purchaser. Ammerhurst reserves the right to refuse or withdraw credit facilities without prior notice or explanation as to why such action has been taken.

Special Orders

When we arrange to obtain keys or locks from the original manufacturer on behalf of a client, we can accept no responsibility for delays in delivery to us from works and will have to charge for those items ordered. Delivery times from some manufacturers are very extended and to amend an order once placed delays goods on order for other customers. Cancellation of such orders can only be accepted if received in writing within 3 days from the original order date. Locks ordered for a customer from works as a special order cannot be returned to us for credit and all special orders for high security and access control products must be confirmed to us in writing before we can process them.
